Dana Cupkova holds Assistant Professorship at the Carnegie Mellon School of Architecture and is a co-founder and principal of EPIPHYTE Lab, an architectural design and research collaborative. From 2005 to 2012 she was a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Cornell University Department of Architecture. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of ACADIA and is Track Chair of SoA’s Masters of Science in Sustainable Design (MSSD) program.

Tom Verebes is the Provost of Turenscape Academy and the Director of OCEAN CN in Hong Kong. Currently the Director of the AA Shanghai Summer School for twelve consecutive years (2007-2017) and AA Visiting School Xixinan (2017-2018) in China. His former academic roles include: Associate Dean for Teaching & Learning (2011-2014), and Associate Professor at the University of Hong Kong (2009-2016); Co-Director of the Design Research Lab at the AA in London, where he had taught from 1996 to 2009. Verebes was Guest Professor at Akademie der Buildenden Künste ABK Stuttgart (2004-2006), and he has held Visiting Professor roles at University of Pennsylvania, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, RMIT, Singapore University of Technology & Design SUTD and University of Tokyo. Verebes studied architecture at McGill University (Canada), LoPSiA (France), and at the Architectural Association (AA) in London, and he received his PhD from RMIT (Australia). Among over 150 publications, he has published ‘Masterplanning the Adaptive City: Computational Urbanism in the Twenty-first Century’ (Routledge, 2013); a Guest-edited issue of AD, titled, Mass Customised Cities (Wiley, 2015); and SHANGHAI TEN FOLIO (ORO, 2016). Verebes’ work has been exhibited in over 50 venues worldwide, and he has lectured extensively in Asia, Europe, North America, Australia, Africa and the Middle East.

Mariana Ibañez is an architect in Argentina, and a newly appointed tenure-track faculty at the MIT School of Architecture and Planning, after 11 years at Harvard University. She has been on the awards jury of the Boston Society of Architects, as well as the admissions committee for the MacDowell Colony. Mariana is also Adjunct Associate Professor at Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation for 2017.

Drura Parrish is the CEO and founder of MakeTime. He is a successful entrepreneur and thought leader in digital fabrication, design, and object based economics. Before MakeTime Drura founded Parrish Production, an art and design fabrication company focused on filling unused capacity across manufacturers with work from top level artists, designers, and hospitality companies. Alongside Parrish Production, he was the co-founder of Land of Tomorrow which exhibited and sold goods produced for artists and designers by Parrish Production.

Andrew Kudless is an architect based in San Francisco where he is an associate professor at the California College of the Arts. Andrew has taught design studios, workshops, and seminars at The Ohio State University, the Architectural Association (London), Yale University, and Rice University. He earned a Master of Arts with distinction from the Architectural Association’s Emergent Technologies and Design graduate program and a Master of Architecture with honors from the Tulane University School of Architecture.
